The Amaranthine Amulet

"Amaranthine," meaning "Immortal" and "Unfading." This dark magical item is a black, shadowy crystal, that seems to suck the life out of the very air around it.

It's thrall is enticing, and it's power dangerous. Some have devoted their entire lives to seek after it, once seeing it for the first time. Some believe it will grant them true immortality.

This Amulet consumes the life and good of the soul of the wearer, effectively turning them into the soul-less undead. Once they dawn the amulet, their mind has been consumed, and nothing is left but wrath.

Once turned, the wearer can raise other souls from the dead.
The creator of the amulet, and the methods to destroy it, are still yet unknown.

History of the Item

• came into possession of Hudson
• Hudson tried to use it to bring back his son.
• It had horrible consequences, and Hudson locked the amulet away in an enchanted jewelry box for many years.
• Hudson was tracked down by a group of cultists, the Tavern-keeper was a spy.
• Kaedo warned Hudson, and so Hudson handed off the dark object to him.
• The cultists followed the party to Driejas, where it was stolen from them.
• Currently in possession of the cult's leader, Anfice.
